The neighborhood I live in is only 10 years old, and was once fertile farmland. The remains can be seen here, where parts of the former farm and barn are still intact, surrounded by homes and a somewhat busy road--dissecting the 2 parts of the neighborhood.

In this shot, we have a number of metaphors, with the sidewalk accommodating the tree, but still encasing the farm like a concrete fence. The black and white cars driving toward one another in a yin vs. yang (or spy vs. spy, you choose) fashion. Apartments on one side, barn on the other. Symbolizing.... you decide.
