Photo-a-day #136: May 16, 2011 - Suomi World Hockey Champs

As pointed out yesterday, Finland beat Sweden 6-1 and won gold in the IIHF World Championship. When the team returned home, they were greeted by 100,000 very happy fans that were just a few blocks from the hotel where I was staying. This photo is the scene just prior to their arrival.

Apparently, the team did a little celebrating on the plane too, as evident in this video.
