Got the chance to check out one of my favorite bands from college, the Pixies. Show was at the Rave in Milwaukee (in the annoyingly awkward, Eagles Ballroom).

The feature of this tour was playing the classic album, Doolittle in its entirety. They also played a great encore where they blasted through most of Surfer Rosa / Come on Pilgrim as well (setlist here). In the shot above, they are playing Wave of Mutilation.

I appreciate bands who embrace new technology--the imagery playing on the screen behind them connected the creepy lyrics in a way that is much more appreciated live. They still have it--the show was superb.
